Personal Life
Boynton married for the first time August 3, 2012 to former Chicago media personality Jen Patterson. Boynton has two daughters; Emmerson and Bryar. He spends the off-season with them at his home in Arizona.
Shortly before his first NHL training camp, Boynton was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes, but the disease has not affected his ability to play hockey.
