A German federal election will be held on 22 September 2013 to determine the 598 (or more, if overhangs are produced) members of the 18th Bundestag, the main federal legislative house of Germany. It can be held earlier or later under exceptional constitutional circumstances (such as in the case where the Chancellor loses a vote of confidence in the Bundestag, they may request the Federal President to hold elections earlier). Whenever they find some abuse needs correction in their neighborhood, instead of applying the remedy themselves they seek to have a tribunal sent on from Washington to discharge their duties for them, regardless of the fact that in accepting such supervision they are bartering away their freedom.” “What a glorious time they must have in that wilderness, far from mankind and election day!” |
