Mammals
The mammals found in New Port Back Bay vary in shape and size; the most common found are members of the rodent family, bobcats, coyotes, and raccoons. The raccoon is now becoming a menace to the area. The animal has grown in population due to the overwhelming supply of food and absence of predators. The coyote is one of the last native animals to the area of Newport Bay; this animal represents the need for open land for roaming of wild animals.
