Newcastle West has 2 night clubs; Club Mission and Spirit Nite Club. A lot of Night Clubs have come and gone in Newcastle West in recent times. Club Mission is on the same site as the original Old Turn Pike, which has seen 5 former night clubs, Xanadu's, Coolio's, Coolio's II, the Elbow Room and West. Newcastle West has many Public Houses (Bars / Pub's ). The number of Pubs has reduced from a high of 36 in the 1980s to about 20 in 2011.
