History
The late Richard Welsh founded NewSchool of Architecture in 1980. The school’s first degree program was the Bachelor of Architecture. In 2008, NSAD was acquired by Laureate Education Inc.
Welsh designed a professional education program that culminated with the Bachelor of Architecture degree. Today, NSAD offers undergraduate and graduate programs in architecture, digital media arts, and construction management.
