New Quay - Local Facilities

Local Facilities

As well as shops, banks, restaurants and pubs, New Quay houses a large primary school, a doctors' surgery and a small branch of the county library service.

The town also has a fire station and an RNLI lifeboat station, which houses two boats: a Mersey class and a D class.

Public transport is provided by regular bus services to Aberaeron, Cardigan and Aberystwyth.

Just a few miles outside New Quay is a honey farm. There is also New Quay's famous £1 shop (Now the £1.20 shop). There is a park at the top of New Quay right next to a tennis court which may be used by the public.

Famous quotes containing the words local and/or facilities:

    The poet’s eye, in a fine frenzy rolling,
    Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven;
    And as imagination bodies forth
    The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
    Turns them to shapes, and gives to airy nothing
    A local habitation and a name.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    I have always found that when men have exhausted their own resources, they fall back on “the intentions of the Creator.” But their platitudes have ceased to have any influence with those women who believe they have the same facilities for communication with the Divine mind as men have.
    Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815–1902)
