The road runs eastward toward Durham and then turns northwest along Durham's Main Street and travels to an interchange with U.S. Route 4 in Durham. From there, Route 155A continues northwest and returns to Route 155. The distance between Route 155A's endpoints along Route 155 is approximately 1 mile (1.6 km).
