Neural Networks (journal)

Neural Networks is the official journal of the three oldest societies dedicated to research in neural networks: International Neural Network Society, European Neural Network Society and Japanese Neural Network Society, published by Elsevier. The journal is issued 10 times annually and available in electronic form via Science Direct.

The journal covers a broad range of topics in both artificial neural networks and biological neural networks, "ranging from behavioral and brain modeling, through mathematical and computational analyses, to engineering and technological applications of systems that significantly use neural network concepts and algorithms." Founded by Stephen Grossberg (Cognitive and Neural Systems Dept., Boston University, USA), the current editors-in-chief are DeLiang Wang (Ohio State University, Columbus, USA and Kenji Doya (Initial Research Project, Okinawa Inst. Of Science & Tech., Japan). Neural Networks is abstracted and indexed in Scopus and Science Citation Index. According to the 2011 Journal Citation Reports its impact factor is 2.182 and the 5-year impact factor is 2.477.

Famous quotes containing the word networks:

The community and family networks which helped sustain earlier generations have become scarcer for growing numbers of young parents. Those who lack links to these traditional sources of support are hard-pressed to find other resources, given the emphasis in our society on providing treatment services, rather than preventive services and support for health maintenance and well-being.
