Magic
The world of the Runelords has two major forms of magic, both based upon runes of power: elemental magic, and endowments. “Without, the frost, the blinding snow,
The storm-wind’s moody madness—
Within, the firelight’s ruddy glow,

Coloring life ...”
—Allen Tate (1899–1979)
