Famous quotes containing the words relief and/or activities:
“The fish in neighboring streams and lakes are so voracious, it is said, that fishermen have to stand out of sight behind trees while baiting their hooks.”
—For the State of Florida, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
“That is the real pivot of all bourgeois consciousness in all countries: fear and hate of the instinctive, intuitional, procreative body in man or woman. That is the great clue to bourgeois psychology: the reward business.”
