National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS), established in 1978, has over 4000 members nationwide and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The Association seeks to provide high quality educational opportunities for its members, as well as to continuously foster public awareness of the vital role of medical staff professionals in the provision of safe, effective healthcare. NAMSS followed in the footsteps of the California Association of Medical Staff Services or CAMSS which was established in 1971. Most US States, as well as Puerto Rico, have active NAMSS Chapters.
