Natasha Hudson - Plaigarism of Poetry

Plaigarism of Poetry

In 2007, Hudson published a book which prociamed to be her own poems in Bahasa Malay. This brought about a large number of accusations of plaigarism by the Malaysian Blogger community. Three poems from her book were specifically pointed out to be a direct translation of well-known poems by Roger McGough, Ann Hoberman and Vachel Linsay.

Famous quotes containing the word poetry:

The man Shelley, in very truth, is not entirely sane, and Shelley’s poetry is not entirely sane either. The Shelley of actual life is a vision of beauty and radiance, indeed, but availing nothing, effecting nothing. And in poetry, no less than in life, he is “a beautiful and ineffectual angel, beating in the void his luminous wings in vain.”
    Matthew Arnold (1822–1888)
