Donation
When Narla was alive he would not part with his library or precious art collections. There were several offers from universities and museums but he would not have it. After his death his wife, carefully preserving the books for some years ultimately presented the library to the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University in Hyderabad. The university has an annual programme of memorial lectures on him.
