Date of Composition
The Naradiya Purana is closely related to another text called Brhan-naradiya Purana. Rajendra Chandra Hazra dates Brhannaradiya Purana between 850 CE and 950 CE. According to him, the present Naradiya Purana is based on the Brhannaradiya Purana, and therefore, should have been written after 850-950 CE.
