Contraindications

Naltrexone (50 mg per day) should not be used by persons with acute hepatitis or liver failure, or those with recent opioid use (typically 7-10 days). Use of low-Dose naltrexone (4.5 mg per day) is considered safe for all including persons with acute hepatitis.
