Nagarahavu (2002 Film)
Naagara Havu (Kannada ನಾಗರ ಹಾವು) is a 2002 Kannada Psychological Thriller film starring Upendra and Jyotika. The film was directed by S Murali Mohan and was a remake of the 1993 Bollywood film Baazigar. Upendra and Jyotika won several awards for this movie including South Filmfare Awards. The film shocked its Karnataka audience with an unexpected violation of the standard Kannada film industry formula, with an ambiguous hero. An Above Average Success at the box office, this was Upendra's second film where he played a negative role after his earlier blockbuster film Preethse. Upendra's portrayal of a young man who stops at nothing to get revenge won him The Udaya Film Award for Best Male Actor for the second time.
