Synopsis
The series is set in Ponyland, which is populated solely by earth ponies, and follows the lives of seven young female ponies - Starlight, Sweetheart, Melody, Bright Eyes, Patch, Clover and Bon Bon. In a departure from previous incarnations of the franchise, the anthropomorphic ponies live essentially as human beings: attending school, frequenting the local ice cream shop, going on dates, entering talent contests and even roller-skating. Love interests are provided in the male ponies Teddy, Ace and Lancer. At least one song is performed by the ponies in every episode.
