Tracey Ullman covered Madness's "My Girl" in 1984. The title was changed to "My Guy", and the single got the title "My Guy's Mad at Me". Madness' Mark Bedford played bass on the track. Her version was in the UK Top 40 at the same time as Madness' "Michael Caine" and peaked at number 23. The music video featured the British politician, Neil Kinnock, at the time the Leader of the Opposition. The single was also released as a 7" picture disc, with a picture of Ullman and Kinnock sitting at a table.

Famous quotes containing the words guy and/or mad:
“Andrews: Do you mind if I ask a question frankly? Do you love my daughter?
Peter: Any guy thatd fall in love with your daughter ought to have his head examined.
Andrews: Now thats an evasion.
Peter: She grabbed herself a perfect running mate. King Westley! The pill of the century. What she needs is a guy thatd take a sock at her once a day, whether its coming to her or not.”
—Robert Riskin (18971955)
“Our father presents an optional set of rhythms and responses for us to connect to. As a second home base, he makes it safer to roam. With him as an allya loveit is safer, too, to show that were mad when were mad at our mother. We can hate and not be abandoned, hate and still love.”
—Judith Viorst (20th century)
