The Kubaz are an insect-eating species that have been known to be informants for the Empire. One such Kubaz, by the name of Garindan, led Stormtroopers to the droids on Tatooine in A New Hope. Because of their diet, the insectoid Verpine have a marked distrust of the Kubaz who have often taken great steps to procure Verpine specimens for their suppers.
