There are numerous mushroom food festivals held annually in: Telluride, Colorado; Kennett Square, Pennsylvania; Morel Mushroom Festival held in Harrison, Michigan and Boyne City, Michigan, and the Mushroom Mardi Gras Festival held in Morgan Hill, California. Mansfield Village, Indiana, famous for its huge annual fall covered bridge festival also has a smaller but popular Mushroom Festival each April.

Long Beach, Washington and Crested Butte, Colorado each have a festival with a wild mushroom theme.

Bamfield, British Columbia and Eugene, Oregon also hold annual mushroom festivals in the fall.
