Crimson Cadets
MVHS' marching band, the Crimson Cadets, were formerly under the direction of Richard Lorenzen, who died on October 25, 2009 of a heart attack. They are members of the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA), and compete in SCSBOA field shows. As of 2011, the Crimson Cadets have been competing in the SCSBOA Championships as a 6A group, having won 2nd place in the championships on December 3, 2011.
