Club Career

In April 2009, Ngassa was invited for a trial with English Premier League side West Ham United. On May 21, 2010, Ngassa joined Azam FC for $40,000. This was the biggest transfer move in Tanzanian football. Mrisho Ngassa is currently on trial with Seattle Sounders FC and came on as a substitute against Manchester United in a friendly match. Before being on trial in Seattle, he was on trial at African Lyon.

At the beginning of August 2012, Ngassa signed for Simba.

After the completion of the Tanzanian Premier League 2012/2013, On 20th May 2013 Ngasa signed a 2-year contract with the current Premier League and The Kagame Cup Champions Dar es Salaam Young Africans Sports Club
