Mountain View School District is governed by 9 individually elected board members (serve four year terms), the Pennsylvania State Board of Education, the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Pennsylvania General Assembly. In May 2012, James W. Zick, a long term member of the Mountain View School District’s Board of Education died. Mr. Zick was Board president for six years. He was first appointed to the Board of Education on August 8, 1983 and served continuously representing the residents of Harford Township and Lenox Township. A graduate of Mountain View High School, Class of 1967, James W. Zick served for nearly twenty-nine years on the Mountain View School Board.
