Motion Picture Credits

Motion Picture Credits

Opening credits, in a television program, motion picture, or video game, are shown at the beginning of a show and list the most important members of the production. They are usually shown as text superimposed on a blank screen or static pictures, or sometimes on top of action in the show. Some opening credits are built around animation or production numbers of some sort (such as the James Bond films). Opening credits mention the major actors, the lead actor would be prominent, and the supporting actors would follow. Others that would be listed are guest stars, producers and director, as opposed to closing credits which lists the entire production crew.

Famous quotes containing the words motion and/or picture:

As I walked on the glacis I heard the sound of a bagpipe from the soldiers’ dwellings in the rock, and was further soothed and affected by the sight of a soldier’s cat walking up a cleated plank in a high loophole designed for mus-catry, as serene as Wisdom herself, and with a gracefully waving motion of her tail, as if her ways were ways of pleasantness and all her paths were peace.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

But what now grips his fancy is her face,

And how the cunning picture holds her still
At just that smiling instant when her soul,
Grown sweetly faint, and swept beyond control,
    Consents to his inexorable will.
    Richard Wilbur (b. 1921)
