History
The college is named after freedom fighter Pandit Motilal Nehru. Established in 1964 with only 200 students, it now has about 100 faculty members and 2,000 students. The College was shifted in its new building with sprawling campus, extensive lawns, a large Administrative Block, Library and well equipped laboratories and air-conditioned Computer Science Laboratory in 1989.
Principal Dr P.Sen Gupta is a well-known academician in science field. Dr. Ramesh Sharma, who was the principal till 2010 is a well-known Hindi poet who writes under the pen name 'Divik Ramesh'.
