Vacancy Rates
The Mall has recently seen high vacancy rates with the closure or re-location of key stores such as Boots, Newcastle United Club Shop, Benetton, Sportizus and most recently, Sports Direct. With the redevelopment of nearby Eldon Square and Eldon Gardens providing larger and more flexible options for retail premises it is unlikely that these vacancies will be filled in the near future.
