Monnow Bridge in Monmouth, Wales, is the only remaining mediƦval fortified river bridge in Great Britain with its gate tower still standing in place. It crosses the River Monnow (Welsh: Afon Mynwy) some 500m above its confluence with the River Wye. Now pedestrianised, it is a scheduled ancient monument and a Grade I listed building.
