Famous quotes containing the word money:

    Wealth, howsoever got, in England makes
    Lords of mechanics, gentlemen of rakes;
    Antiquity and birth are needless here;
    ‘Tis impudence and money makes a peer.
    Daniel Defoe (1660–1731)
