Missouri Baptist athletic teams, nicknamed athletically as the Spartans, are part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the American Midwest Conference. Men's sports include baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, track & field, volleyball and wrestling; while women's sports include basketball, bowling, cheerleading, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, volleyball and wrestling.

The men's lacrosse teams competes at the Division II level of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association in the Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference. In 2010, the women's lacrosse team became a charter member of the National Women's Lacrosse League and began competition in the conference in Spring 2011.
