The first year Democratic Republic of the Congo sent a representative to Miss Earth was in 2008, she goes on to compete at Miss Earth without a separate national competition.
In 2008 the Miss Earth Democratic Republic of the Congo franchise was obtained by Beauties of Africa Inc, owned by Mr. Andy A. Abulime, and since 2007 a Delegate has attended the Annual Miss Earth pageant in the Philippines.
