Miroslav Filip

Miroslav Filip (27 October 1928 – 27 April 2009) was a Grandmaster of chess from the Czech Republic. Filip was awarded the title of International Master in 1953, and the Grandmaster title in 1955. Filip represented Czechoslovakia in 12 consecutive Chess olympiads from Helsinki 1952 to Nice 1974, playing 194 games with the overall result (+62 =104 –28).
