Minor Passions Characters - Judge Reilly

Judge Reilly

Judge James E. Reilly is a corrupt judge in Harmony who has been on the Crane family's payroll for many years. At Julian Crane's request, Reilly separated Julian's son, Little Ethan, from his mother. Later, in 2007, at the Blackmailer's threats, Reilly essentially forced guilty verdicts upon Luis and Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald and sentenced Luis to death without any appeals.

In an ironic bit of humor, Reilly shares his name with Passions head writer James E. Reilly. Reilly has been portrayed by Bruce Gray in a recurring capacity since 2004. The character was occasionally referenced before his initial appearance.

Famous quotes containing the words judge and/or reilly:

We must live for the few who know and appreciate us, who judge and absolve us, and for whom we have the same affection and indulgence. The rest I look upon as a mere crowd, lively or sad, loyal or corrupt, from whom there is nothing to be expected but fleeting emotions, either pleasant or unpleasant, which leave no trace behind them.
    Sarah Bernhardt (1844–1923)

Zola: I need someone to remind me of the old, struggling, carefree days. Fighting for a foothold.
Paul Cézanne: You can never go back to it. And I never left it.
    —Norman Reilly Raine (1895–1971)
