In Italy, law nr. 39 of 8 March 1975 states that a minor is a person under the age of 18. Citizens under the age of 18 have no right to vote and be elected in political elections, are not allowed to obtain a driving license for automobiles nor issue or sign legal instruments. Crimes committed in Italy by minors are tried in a juvenile court.
