Millennium Point (Birmingham) - Problems

Problems

In 2004, glass panels fell off the front of the building. This resulted in green webbing and metal barriers being placed around one half of the building while investigations took place. The unsightly webbing stretched the full height of the building and remained in place for some time. The metal barriers can be seen in the first picture on this page, though the webbing had been removed by the time the picture was taken. Also there will be a performance at 13th December and tickets will be on sale soon. The main act will be by Holy Trinity Arts And Mieda Collage, which are outstanding.

Famous quotes containing the word problems:

To be a philosopher is not merely to have subtle thoughts, nor even to found a school, but so to love wisdom as to live according to its dictates a life of simplicity, independence, magnanimity, and trust. It is to solve some of the problems of life, not only theoretically, but practically.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The problems of the world, AIDS, cancer, nuclear war, pollution, are, finally, no more solvable than the problem of a tree which has borne fruit: the apples are overripe and they are falling—what can be done?... Nothing can be done, and nothing needs to be done. Something is being done—the organism is preparing to rest.
    David Mamet (b. 1947)

Our [adult] children have an adult’s right to make their own choices and have the responsibility of living with the consequences. If we make their problems ours, they avoid that responsibility, and we are faced with problems we can’t and shouldn’t solve.
    Jane Adams (20th century)
