Huckabee also benefited from the support of actor Chuck Norris, with whom he recorded a TV ad and who held a fundraiser for him. Huckabee was also endorsed by professional wrestler "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and boxer Roy Jones Jr.

Some Huckabee endorsements came from groups who don't typically support Republicans. He was the only Republican endorsed by a major labor union (having the support of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers) and has been endorsed by 50 African-American political and religious leaders. He also had the support of one of Texas's largest newspapers, the Dallas Morning News.
