Microsoft Office Project Server - Changes in Project Server 2010

Changes in Project Server 2010

Microsoft Project 2010 now has the "ribbon" functionality similar to other Microsoft Office products. The ribbon is available in Microsoft Project as well as in Project Web App. There are a range of other features available as well. One of the most obvious is the inclusion of a "Timeline" view, which graphically represents key tasks and milestones. Another view that helps with resource management is the Team Planner, which provides a graphical view of assignments of tasks to resources. The Team Planner also shows unscheduled and unassigned tasks.

Other features now in Project Server 2010 is the inclusion of Project Portfolio Server.

Project Web Access (PWA) was renamed to Project Web App and "Office" was dropped from the name of both Microsoft Project Professional and Project Server.

Famous quotes containing the word project:

The trenchant editorials plus the keen rivalry natural to extremely partisan papers made it necessary for the editors to be expert pugilists and duelists as well as journalists. An editor made no assertion that he could not defend with fists or firearms.
