The anime adaption of the series is based on the toys and the Manga serialized by Comic Bom Bom with Takara's permission in 1999. Produced by Studio Pierrot, the series ran from January 4, 1999 to December 17, 1999. Unlike the toyline, the story is much different and focused on five Microman heroes.
