Famous quotes containing the words interest in, interest and/or culture:

Whoever lives for the sake of combating an enemy has an interest in the enemy’s staying alive.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

Combining paid employment with marriage and motherhood creates safeguards for emotional well-being. Nothing is certain in life, but generally the chances of happiness are greater if one has multiple areas of interest and involvement. To juggle is to diminish the risk of depression, anxiety, and unhappiness.
    Faye J. Crosby (20th century)

Our culture assumes that they will quickly learn how to be a mother, and that assumption rubs off on most women—so they learn.
    Pamela Patrick Novotny (20th century)
