Fine Arts

As a painter, his works have been presented at several collective exhibitions in France, Germany and Lebanon. In 1995, he presented The Wailing Wall, a 10x2 meters piece of art, at a special edition of the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs that took place in the Beirut Central District (instead of its customary location at Paris’ Grand Palais). This showing produced such controversy that it required special protection.

Famous quotes containing the words fine and/or arts:

As to honour—you know—it’s a very fine mediaeval inheritance which women never got hold of. It wasn’t theirs.
    Joseph Conrad (1857–1924)

Musick is certainly a very agreeable Entertainment, but if it would take the entire Possession of our Ears, if it would make us incapable of hearing Sense, if it would exclude Arts that have a much greater Tendency to the Refinement of human Nature; I must confess I would allow it no better Quarter than Plato has done, who banishes it out of his Common-wealth.
    Joseph Addison (1672–1719)
