In 2004, Angeli was nominated for an Edgar Award for Best Episode in a TV Series, for his work on "Mr. Monk and the 12th Man". At the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2008, Angeli was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, for his work on the Battlestar Galactica episode "Six of One".
