In the season opener Mia gets a modeling contract in Paris, when her boyfriend Peter turns to drugs she dumps him and heads to Paris. They later have a video chat and appear to be on good terms now that Peter has stopped doing meth. However, they never got back together. She is Peter's second girlfriend in a row to relocate across the Atlantic; this was to allow Dobrev to exit the series to enable her to star in the American series for The CW, The Vampire Diaries.
