Depots
The Metropolitan Transport Corporation has 25 depots, each with an average parking capacity of 100 buses. However, about 200 buses are being parked in the depots. In 2012, the corporation started building 16 more depots at Maraimalainagar, Thiruverkadu, Padiyanallur, Thaiyur, Kannaginagar, Besant Nagar, Perumbakkam, Periyapalayam, Semmencherry, Kundrathur, Velachery, Kovalam, Mullai Nagar, Arumanthai, Kallikuppam and Chromepet.
