Cooperative Alliances For College Credit

Meridian Technology Center participates in Cooperative Alliance agreements with Cowley College, Northern Oklahoma College and the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology and allows students to earn college credit toward an Associate in Applied Science. Students participating in the Cooperative Alliance program are responsible for meeting college requirements and completing the admission process before college credit is granted. Credit is not automatic.

Famous quotes containing the words cooperative, alliances, college and/or credit:

Then we grow up to be Daddy. Domesticated men with undomesticated, frontier dreams. Suddenly life—or is it the children?—is not as cooperative as it ought to be. It’s tough to be in command of anything when a baby is crying or a ten-year-old is in despair. It’s tough to feel a sense of control when you’ve got to stop six times during the half-hour ride to Grandma’s.
    Hugh O’Neill (20th century)

An alliance is like a chain. It is not made stronger by adding weak links to it. A great power like the United States gains no advantage and it loses prestige by offering, indeed peddling, its alliances to all and sundry. An alliance should be hard diplomatic currency, valuable and hard to get, and not inflationary paper from the mimeograph machine in the State Department.
    Walter Lippmann (1889–1974)

[B]y going to the College [William and Mary] I shall get a more universal Acquaintance, which may hereafter be serviceable to me; and I suppose I can pursue my Studies in the Greek and Latin as well there as here, and likewise learn something of the Mathematics.
    Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826)

Japanese mothers credit “effort” as the key determinant of a child’s achievement in school, while American mothers name “ability” as the more important factor.
    Perry Garfinkel (20th century)
