Memory Controller - Double Data Rate Memory

Double Data Rate Memory

Double Data Rate DDR memory controllers are used to drive DDR SDRAM, where data is transferred on the rising and falling access of the memory clock of the system. DDR memory controllers are significantly more complicated than Single Data Rate controllers, but allow for twice the data to be transferred without increasing the clock rate or increasing the bus width to the memory cell.

Famous quotes containing the words double, data, rate and/or memory:

    I met Jack Kennedy in November, 1946.... We went out on a double date and it turned out to be a fair evening for me. I seduced a girl who would have been bored by a diamond as big as the Ritz.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

    Mental health data from the 1950’s on middle-aged women showed them to be a particularly distressed group, vulnerable to depression and feelings of uselessness. This isn’t surprising. If society tells you that your main role is to be attractive to men and you are getting crow’s feet, and to be a mother to children and yours are leaving home, no wonder you are distressed.
    Grace Baruch (20th century)

    “Terence, this is stupid stuff:
    You eat your victuals fast enough;
    There can’t be much amiss, ‘tis clear,
    To see the rate you drink your beer.
    —A.E. (Alfred Edward)

    For my name and memory I leave to men’s charitable speeches, and to foreign nations and the next ages.
    Francis Bacon (1561–1626)
