The May Bumps 2001 were a set of rowing races held at Cambridge University from Wednesday 13 June 2001 until Saturday 16 June 2001. The event was run as a bumps race and has been held annually in mid-June since 1887. See May Bumps for the format of the races. In 2001, a total of 172 crews took part (103 men's crews and 69 women's crews), with around 1500 participants in total.
