MAX Yellow Line - Plans

Plans

There are plans for extensions at both ends. The Portland-Milwaukie project would extend the MAX system from the current PSU terminus, on the Portland Transit Mall couplet, east and across the Willamette River via the planned Caruthers Bridge, then southward to Milwaukie via Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way and SE McLoughlin Blvd.. This extension is part of the proposed Orange Line and therefore is currently planned to be independent of the Yellow Line, but there is a possibility that it may instead be opened as a Yellow Line extension. The Columbia River Crossing project would extend from the Expo Center terminus north across the Columbia River to Clark College via Interstate 5, Washington/Broadway Street couplet, and East McLoughlin Blvd. Stops would serve Hayden Island and Vancouver, Washington.

Famous quotes containing the word plans:

In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.
    Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890–1969)

The human mind plans the way, but the LORD directs the steps.
    Bible: Hebrew, Proverbs 16:9.

In order to become spoiled ... a child has to be able to want things as well as need them. He has to be able to see himself as a being who is separate from everyone else.... A baby is none of these things. He feels a need and he expresses it. He is not intellectually capable of working out involved plans and ideas like “Can I make her give me...?” “If I make enough fuss he will...?” “They let me do ... yesterday and I want to do it again today so I’ll....”
    Penelope Leach (20th century)
