International Career
In early 2009, Briggs received a call-up to the England under-19 squad for the 2009 European Championships. He was then also selected as part of the England under-20 squad for the 2009 Youth World Cup. He was capped by the under-21 team for the first time after starting in a 6–0 victory at home to Azerbaijan on 1 September 2011.
