Playing Career

Prior started at the Dragons in 2006, making his NRL debut in round 5 of the 2008 season. On the 22nd of March 2010 Prior signed for the Dragons for a further three years which will see him at the St. George Illawarra Dragons until the end of 2013.

He was part of the victorious Dragons team which won the 2010 NRL Grand Final.

On the 13th of January 2011, Prior was named in the "Blues in waiting" squad. A three day camp at Homebush from January 21–23 that will be coordinated by coach Ricky Stuart for players who he believes have potential to feature in future New South Wales Origin teams.

In Round 9, 2012 he was sent off for striking Cowboys captain Johnathan Thurston with his elbow, with his charge referred directly to the judiciary. He was suspended for five weeks over the incident. After the incident Prior was moved to the interchange bench for the St. George Illawara Dragons.
