Massachusetts Avenue (MBTA Orange Line Station)

Massachusetts Avenue is a MBTA subway station on the Orange Line, located at 380 Massachusetts Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts. The station opened in 1987 as part of the renovation and relocation of the southern Orange Line. The Orange line runs parallel to the Northeast Corridor, which carries Amtrak trains and several MBTA commuter rail lines. Connections to the commuter rail are available at Ruggles and Back Bay stations, both one stop away from Massachusetts Avenue. The subway station, coincidentally, has a Subway restaurant inside it.

Famous quotes containing the words avenue, orange and/or line:

    Has anyone ever told you that you overplay your various roles rather severely, Mr. Kaplan? First you’re the outraged Madison Avenue man who claims he’s been mistaken for someone else. Then you play the fugitive from justice, supposedly trying to clear his name of a crime he knows he didn’t commit. And now you play the peevish lover stung by jealously and betrayal. It seems to me you fellows could stand a little less training from the FBI and a little more from the Actors Studio.
    Ernest Lehman (b.1920)

    He hangs in shades the orange bright,
    Like golden lamps in a green night,
    And does in the pomegranates close
    Jewels more rich than Ormus shows;
    He makes the figs our mouths to meet,
    And throws the melons at our feet;
    But apples plants of such a price
    No tree could ever bear them twice.
    Andrew Marvell (1621–1678)

    Anybody who’s been through a divorce will tell you that at one point ... they’ve thought murder. The line between thinking murder and doing murder isn’t that major.
    Oliver Stone (b. 1946)
