Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science at WPI - The Mass Academy Reunion

The Mass Academy Reunion

The Academy holds an annual reunion for its alumni during the winter break or Thanksgiving period. The academy reunion is unique in that all of the graduated classes attend. The academy is able to accommodate everyone since there have been only been nineteen graduating classes each of approximately 40-50 students, and most attendees are recent alumnae. The reunion was not held for several years following the death of Pauline LaMarche (2004), the academy's second principal and original organizer of the event. The tradition has resumed, however, with the reunion held on December 30, 2006.

Famous quotes containing the words mass and/or academy:

When over Catholics the ocean rolls,
They must wait several weeks before a mass
Takes off one peck of purgatorial coals,
Because, till people know what’s come to pass,
They won’t lay out their money on the dead—
It costs three francs for every mass that’s said.
    George Gordon Noel Byron (1788–1824)

When the State wishes to endow an academy or university, it grants it a tract of forest land: one saw represents an academy, a gang, a university.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
